Joe Roberts Construction adds ZX300LC-6 to its fleet

October 11, 2017

A new Hitachi ZX300LC-6 is providing additional excavating power for subdivision and utility work at Joe Roberts Construction in Prince George, British Columbia.

The new production-class excavator joins an existing fleet of four Hitachi models. Joe Roberts, the owner of Joe Roberts Construction, also owns three ZX245USLC-5 excavators and one ZX50U-5.

“I’ve been in the construction industry for a long time and have always had good success with Hitachi models. I’m just a Hitachi guy,” said Roberts. “Overall the machines are just good machines.”

Roberts started his business four years ago to cut back on traveling and spend more time near his Prince George home. As his business grew, so did his equipment needs.

“I started off with one ZX245, and then bought another and another,” he said. “This year, projects continued to grow and I needed a bigger machine that had more power. The ZX300 really served that purpose.”

After a six-month rental contract, Roberts was ready to buy the machine.

“My operators really like it and I usually base my buying decisions on their input. They really like the machine a lot,” Roberts said. “My local Wajax office has also provided great service and it’s just worked out really well.”
