Hitachi To The Core booth at MINExpo in Las Vegas

MINExpo INTERNATIONAL® is the largest show of its kind and only happens every four years. And thousands of attendees experienced Hitachi To The Core this year at the show!

MINExpo INTERNATIONAL 2016 drew more than 40,000 attendees and 1,900 exhibitors this year to Las Vegas on Sept. 26-28. Thousands of attendees stopped by the Hitachi booth to experience Hitachi To The Core. Our people, technology, solutions and equipment are Hitachi through and through. This full integration delivers unmatched efficiency, reliability and durability. That’s Hitachi To the Core.

“MINExpo is the perfect international stage to showcase Hitachi’s equipment, technologies and solutions, and we were honored to be part of the show,” said Craig Lamarque, division manager, Hitachi Mining Division - Americas. “Hitachi develops technologies and solutions that are integrated into the equipment. This approach optimizes productivity, reduces overall costs and makes it easier for mine operations to succeed in this challenging environment, which is our ultimate goal in serving our customers.”

Attendees got up-close and personal with Hitachi’s EX5600-6, one of the biggest shovels at the show. More than 2,800 photos were taken in the 29 m3 (38.8 cu. yd) bucket of the EX5600-6. National Mining Association (NMA) staff members and Nevada state senators Joe Hardy, Don Gustavson and David Parks even stopped by for their own bucket shots!

The EH4000AC-3 was the only rigid frame haul truck at the show that featured a Hitachi-designed, built and supported AC-Drive system – making this system Hitachi To The Core. Hundreds of attendees competed in our haul truck simulator challenge at the booth, with winners taking home die-cast truck models.

Hitachi also introduced a peripheral vision display system with object detection technology called Aerial Angle® at the show. The technology enhances the visibility for operators of mining equipment by alerting them to obstacles when driving, stopping or starting their dump trucks.

Additionally, on Monday, Sept. 26, Hitachi dealers, management and customers had fun to the core at an exclusive reception held at JEWEL Nightclub at ARIA Resort & Casino.

After three days and 74,000 m2 (800,000 ft.2) of equipment and exhibitors, MINExpo wrapped up, but planning for the next show has already begun. We’ll see you in 2020!
