State-of-the-art design allows the Zaxis 27U-3 to work in confined areas, meaning it is easily positioned to work closer to buildings, obstructions, even in a single lane of traffic. Boasting a cleaner yet more powerful Interim Tier-4 engine, it has reduced fuel consumption, a strengthened main frame, front attachment and undercarriage, longer lubrication life, 4000-hour hydraulic oil and 1000-hour hydraulic oil filters.

• Boom cylinder and arm cylinder are cushioned at stroke ends to absorb shocks. 
• Swinging boom lets you dig parallel to walls, pavement. 
• Anti-drift valve reduces front-end drift. 
• Reinforced D-shaped frame is like those found on larger models of the Zaxis family. 
• Highly durable box-section frame, enlarged counterweight, and weighted undercarriage lower the center of gravity and increase stability. 
• HN bushings on all front attachments and blade joints. 
• Mechanical quick coupler. 
• Boom-mounted auxiliary hydraulic lines and an auxiliary return-flow selector valve accommodate both one- and two-way hydraulically driven attachments. 
• Auxiliary hydraulics now operated with a switch conveniently positioned atop the right-hand pilot lever. 
• Automatic shifting between high and low travel speeds allows model to shift into low when more power is needed, without operator intervention. 
• Zero-tail swing. 
• 4-pillar canopy and 12-in. (300 mm) rubber shoes are standard; enclosed cab, and steel track, rubber crawler pad are optional. Enclosed cab includes heat and air conditioning as well as a new, more comfortable high-back seat for better support. 
• Long arm/extra counterweight available in either cab or canopy configurations. 
• Optional ZXLink™ wireless communication system.
